unclechristoWent to Cambridge to visit brother's family - things have been tough there since sister-in-law broke her leg.
Funny, even though she's long gone, going to Cambs still makes me think of visiting my mom when she lived there. I've sometimes taken the wrong turning and find I'm heading to her house...
Took down a homemade curry for 6 that G made, and also gave them our TV & DVD player as theirs was rubbish and tiny.
Surreal Tesco shopping trip with their family helper. She is Spanish with no English. I have no Spanish. She had shopping list in Spanish, I had the English translation. Much miming ensued - microwave soup, plastic gloves, rabbit, squid etc..
My bro and I got chance to share music in the almost constant traffic jams of Cambridge - especially Simeon Ten Holt's Canto Ostinato - an old fave I recently got my own copy of.
Today all went out for lunch in town - havent seen Cambridge centre for quite a few years...
Had bad night sleep - I woke several times due to rain noise on the roof in the loft room. Veeeerrry long and sleepy drive home...
Supernaturally tired now
