I have mostly been recording. Work started on a new age album for Paradise Music - Flute Dreamer. It took a different course than I imagined. I was going to do a really sparse album of very little but solo low Irish whsitle, but I came up with a little Celtic lullaby, and before I knew it I was carving the album up into sections and pretty much working as I have fro all of my new age albums recently. I did abandona section in 21:4 time because I doubted it was restful enough for relaxation but since then it's been fine.
With Piano Dreamer I needed fewer layers of sound as the piano provides it;s own backing. On Buddha Dreamer I could change lead instrument, so for Flute Dreamer I needed to make more variety in the backing by using LOTS of instruments - Irish flute & low & tin Irish whsitles, keyboards, acoustic & electric 9 string guitar, zither, electric kantele, kalimba, voice, temple bells, bamboo & metal chimes. It's beena week and I;ve almost finished it.
