Dan had got a 30min slot at the Donkey pub Song Club. One of the other of the 4 acts cancelled and they called me in. I;d wanted to rehearse some filk songs for the DFDF Convention that was looming, but as Dan asked Neil Segrott on bass & Neil Rabjohn on cajon drum, we thought it would be more fun to play 1 hour together as a band. We hadn't played a set of our own songs for a year - so busy are we in Govannen.

There was a great crowd of chums and the sound was great and the old magic all flowed back. We had our usual fun playing with the dynamics and even more so with the quiet listening crowd. The encore - suggested by Dan's wife Rachel was perfect and even more magical.
