My nephew got married near Lavenham, Suffolk. They chose a barn/centre in Milden. G & I drove dowon on the day - luckily for them the weather just made a nice window for them for the weekend either side of the rain. We hand;t been all together as a family for 4 years so it was great to see everyone from the Soanish & Austrlian & UK wings together.

I was asked to play som guitar music with another nephew Dominic during the signing (jamming around Summertime & Entre Dos Aquas... fun) - Then a long chat and entrees on the lawn before going into the barn to eat bar-b-que & couscous & desert. Then disco eventually. we'd got a room in a hotel in Lavenham so as we were tired we retreated after I had 2 bops including the first time I EVER danced with my sister... :-)

The hotel was a Marco Pierre White and supposedly posh but was less so as there was a noisy water boiler sounding like a kettle running all night in our room. Breakfast just so so...

Next Day on to lunch gathering at my sisters where we chatted and nibbled more and I met some nephew's partners I hadnlt met the previous day. Dropped G off at her hotel in Cambridge as she was working there next day, then I drove home...

So glad it all went well for them - they looked so happy. It was special to be with all my brothers & sisters as it happs so rarely.
