Fri 25th - The Royal Horseshoes, Waltham On The Wolds
A special Irish night with sit down meal followed by us. Quite like another St Patricks Night. We hadn't played together for a fortnight so it was nice to get back in the groove and it felt fresh. Dan's Mom Olive was 70 and the whole family including his new nephew Robin were there.
Sat 26th - wedding ceilidh with Cathy calling. A very fancy house and marquee across the valley from Rockingham Castle. Tho all were nice folks and the setting was great I still never really enjoy playing in marquees. They always suck the life out of the sound system. All went well tho...
Sat and Subday I had a really bad headache - perhaps the heat. Or not as today (Monday) I appear to have a little lurgy - scratchy chest and slightly hot/fevery sometimes. A shame as I;d kicked off my last lurgy only last week.
In good news the label dug the new Govannen album so all is go which is a relief as I didnlt fancy opening that all up again. Just awaiting ISRC codes for the tracks and we're done.
