All last weeka nd this I have been mixing and mastering the new Govannen album. Mixing went OK - Mastering I hankered after my old familiar software I had on my old computer, so i rebought and downloaded those, only to find I was getting a better sound with some of the new software - so I found a good blend of the 2. I got a pretty good master, found I was abit short on time oddly - I lengthened some of the tracks, made amster, played it to the band - found I;d missed off a track - that's why I was short - so I mastered that track and I went remastering and mixing bits all week.
I parke3d it for a while because I was asked to remix the latest Re-Orient album and do a mix without any vocals - a bit rough on our sionger Lindaji as that's all she does on the album. Apparently they have some instrumental download outlets. Thought I;d be able to rattle it off but I with voices gone I really did have to remix the album, and fill the odd gap. Took a couple of days...
Went back to the Govannen album - still kept finsing little things to fix - think I;ve done it now... Really...
