Dan Reed support,/ Govannen Dalby gigs

I did a 30 min support slot to singer songwriter Dan Reed (who was quite well kwown as Dan Reed Network in the 90s) - I was well pleased with my set - very responsive crowd who laughed in all the right places - i even included a gag I nicked from comedian Lee Mack's support guy. I sang my new song Goodbye again, and I was loth to play any silly songs as Dan Reed is quite a strong heart-on-sleeve singer. I relented and did Alien Salad Abduction and it sold me 2 CDs :-)
Dan Reed had a great sound - full band - and he was a really nice guy as was his band - I just wasnlt too much into the lyrics.
Wed 8th
Cactus Cafe - jazz duo gig - some chums from the Dangerous Dogs blues band came a long to give me a copy of their new CD that i played ona few tracks. Otherwise was quite routing=e. At end of the night tho the owner told us that he was planning to sell up in the new year to a lass who works there - I;ve been playing there for 18 years so itp;s possible it might come to an end for us.
Fri 10th
Govannen @ The Crown Old Dalby
We Govannen 4 squeezed into the smallest space ina small room at the Crown - it all went fine tho and the crowd went toally nutzoid dancing and singing.
Sat 11th
Govannen @ The Royal Oak, Great Dalby
A quieter gig and a nice change as for much of the gig folks were sitting and listening to us after their dinner - we had soem fun talking and referring to the ghost who dwells there. One lass just kept getting up and dancing wildly to our music all night so we had fun pretending she was the ghost.
Sunday 12th
It looks possible I may have a possible new tenant at my old house. A contact out of the blue tho it turns out i do know the guy. Truth was I wasnlt really ready but I did some things this week to get legal and tidied and will do more this week - G painted a wall for me today. We shall see what develops.
