The Criterion
A double gig day and me still not quite right post-bug-wise - so I took things slow and the Criterion gig was really nice and melow and had a great listening audience of about 35 or so. A while since I've sone 2 x 45mins solo - just guitar & kalmiba & flutes. Nice to see some familiar faces, some I hadn't see ina long time. Banjo Des was front row and we had soem laughs. Sold a CD too. Halfway thru 2nd half I was losing energy but it was all fine really.
set 1 - Coming In To Land, Nobody Loves Me (Like I Do), Long Days Waiting, Help me, Goin Out og My Head, Bobby Caseys, Green Clothes, Finally, Call Me
set 2 - Call of the Wild, Alien Salad Abduction, Lifespell, It's Getting Better, Train Of Thought, Forget About You, Three Headed Girl, Rainbow Real, Alien Jellyfish Song, Make Your Own Kind Of Music.
Kirby Twins Acoustic Club
Feelin a bit winded after that so had tome to get home and powernapped for 2mins - then repack for the evening gig, eating pasty on the way to Kirby Twins Club - very rock & roll. Played 3 songs with Robbie Murphy - one I hadn't played for many years - watched an awesome set by Dave Wyatt & band - best I;ve seen him play I think - Top class.
Then I joined Vikki Clayton Band for the last hour which was excellent - we were a 4 piece for first time in years with Neil the Bass and Neil the Cajon, and Martin the Guitar joining us. Nice to play my 2 songs Ten Years and I Want Something was great. Great sound on and offstage, great crowd - i sold 2 DVDs and a CD :-)
little delicate when I got home.
Got another gig Sun afternoon in deepest Derbyshire with Govannen then I can chill some.
