unclechristo | Queniborough Party jazz gig / Cactus / Catchup

Saturday - played a 21st birthday party in one of the swankyest private houses I've seen - I couldn;t work out what the funtion-type room was doing attatched tot eh main house - turns out it was the swimming pool room with floor covered. Strange - about 100 of only the young and beautiful - lasses in posh frocks, guys in black suit & tie. No one paid us much notice (they were well into their mobile phones & cameras) but we got a nice round of applause at the end and Andy the Sax got a nice long thank-you text from the bithday girl.

Tues mostly got down to recording some pices for the fairyland album for Clookai - it's coming along - almost half doen backing-wise.

Weds - Cactus Cafe jazz duo gig again with Andy The Sax - enjoyed playing jazz again. Waitress Lucie was back from epic jurney to Bolivia, Equador & Peru so heard some about that.
