Haven't played a festival in a while (last September - Weyfest) - solo it's been much longer. Was hugely tired from last night's ceilidh so i took to the field gently - then was asked to do interview right away with local Demon Radio. Walked around field awhile and kept runnign into LOADS of folks I know but haven;t seen in ages - mostly could only exchange a few words. Had longer chat when I sat randomly at a table with my free creepe and bottle of water (alas my only payment for playing the fest) and found self opposite Gail, a festival promoter I know from the Phoenix Arts, who I hadn't seen in 8 years, and he friend. Cool running into Maartin Alcock who I played with years ago with Vikki Clayton Band - I think he remembered me.
My set went pretty well - I stuck to mostly safe numbers with 1 exception (Proud Of You - which I was glad I included), and was most pleased to get a crowd whilst up against Adrian Edmonson's punk folk band on one stage and The Oysterband on another.
set - Finally, Alien Salad Abduction, (improv low whistle interlude) Lifespell, Proud of You, Rainbow Real, Alien Jellyfish Song
Very tired boy now tho... streets are full of cars blaring horns tonight (Pakistan won the cricket 20/20 final)
