unclechristo | recording with Bridget / jazz rehearsal/thunder

My studio marathon continued when Bridget McMahon came over from Ireland to record a session for a new album. Her time in the UK is limited so I have to have tracks prepared. We finished 2 tracks. On one hand I;d hoped to get firther but I realise now that my harmonies these days are often 5 deep and tho I can rattle them out coz I can hear them in my head, somone else having to soak them up and sing them takes longer. Bridget is a damn quick study tho and has a good ear.

After 6 hours of this with brief brake for cheese sandwich I had to go stright off at 6 for a jazz rehearsal with Freestyle for my gig with them on Thursday. Luckily I had planned most things and had written out chord sheets and made CDrs for the guys so it wen quite quickly. I was glad of this as I had a headache that was growing and growing.

When I finally got home and ate at 9pm my head was seriouslyhuring and I wasnlt up to much but watch a Voyager and conk out.
4am was awoken by one hell of a thunderstorm - on of the loudest I can recall for quite a while. I recall it rumbling for a while in a dream and then it woke me rattling the window frames.

I received 2 new compilation CD greeting cards from the record label.
