Jazz duo with sax player Andy Nicholls had an unpresidented 3 gigs in 4 days.

Weds 2nd - Cactus Cafe, Loughborough
Our regular monthly gig at the Mexican Restaurant. After my frustrating day with software, the jazz gig at the Cactus Cafe was great. A quiet night but that often is nice for music making. Somehow my fingers were flying effortlessly over the keyboard tonight - like they were slightly ahead of conscious thought - coming up with stuff they normally wouldn't.

Fri 4th - Swan & Rushes, Loughborough
A birthday party, upstairs ina pub in Loughborough - oddly the guys providing the Hog Roast food was Paul, the old owner of the Cactus Cafe - his brother Dave was there too and he'd been working at the Cactus Cafe on Weds. Gig was ok if a little chilly with open doors to veranda on an autumnal night. Party was late starting so we had a fun paid rehearsal trying to retrieve tunes from our set from 20 years ago.

Sat 5th - 50th Birthday - Cropston
A birthday party for the wife of an old trumpet player Marke Rouse chum from years ago - we played at their wedding many years ago. We played int heir AMAZING house by the reservoir in Cropston which had a Grand Designs style modern extension with baby grand piano ands big windows all along one side. When things got chilly in our 2nd set the folks came inside and it was pretty noice with the chat in so many reflective surfaces, so i really had to hit those piano keys to hear myself.
