Spent the afternoon finishing my chum Jodi Krangle's jazz songs album cover graphics. As alkways this kind of thing eats time so got a bit frustrated as it got fiddly in places. Then I had finished - and she liked it - so i formatted them as per duplicators preferences. Later in the day after I handed over everything it felt quite emotional, having worked on this album since January.
It has been great how this project brought us closer again - we had drifted with just the odd birthday greeting for a few years - now we were up to 10 emails a day when at the height of the work.
We vowed not to drift again :-)

To get a bit of life after being alone working all day, I went out to a sushi restaurant but found I was the only custmomer - just me and the conveyor belts - which was  alittle strange - stranger still when I finished and came out of the restaurant to see all the adjacent restaurants were full.

I went on to the cinema to see Piku - (luckily not alone in the cinema - that wouldve been weird... Piku is a really nice Bollywood film with 3 great actors - Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone & Irrfan Khan. A daugher and her impossible elderly father and the impact of them on those around them including a taxi driver (Irrfan) who takes them on a long journey. No song & dances, great acting - played on your emotions a lot - funny too, and wistful later. I dont think I've been to a movie with so much discussion about constipation (the father's obsession). No big romance - no big happy ending - a very grown up film. The 3 actors must be up for awards this year. Irrfan can crack me up with just a look. Wouldnt mind seeing it again. Recommeded.
