So I finally got to see Perfume - sadly my bro couldn't make it which was sad as we planned the trip together.
It was a cross between a pop concert, a kids party, and seriously heavy psychedelic techno disco.

12 things ...
1. Just seeing A-Chan, Nocchi, & Kashiyuka in real life just 25 yards away from me. I was in 12th row.
2. Audience mostly reminded me of scifi fandom. Western & Japanese. Some in costume of outfits from Perfume videos.
2. 2 über fans behind me - a guy I recognised from a Perfume YouTube Vlog - he vid interviewed me after the show - hope I wasn't too embarrassing. Lass had spent 6 months sewing replica of Kashiyukas outfit from Cling Cling vid. Both screaming & jumping. Every song started with them shouting "OH MY GOD!!!" These were offset in front of me by septegenarian Man & 30something daughter who were static & silent the whole time
3. Uber fan guy screamed A-Chan's name mid song. She looked at him and gave him a little wave. I thought he was going to have a fit! Fans around him congratulated him. :-))
4. The lyrics to Dream Fighter were put in English on the screen and suddenly seemed strongly relevant to me. Will look them out.
5. I recently joined the world fan club online and for this, at the gig, I got a free hand towel.!!!
6. "Glitter" was amazing - prob my fave song of the night.. Sadly they didn't sing my fave song of there's "575"
7. Braved merch queue and got a Tshirt & dvd.
8. Bootleg poster sellers gave up after a while after the show and dumped them so my last memory is of fans digging by the bins. I got 3 posters :-)
9. Not as much video fx as I expected but they were amazing.
10. Perfume's synchronised dancing is really hypnotic over the course of the night.
11. Great to hear the music witt such a HUGE sound - big bass. Not as deafening as expected tho. Not as loudly for sure as Within Temptation. Only resorted to earplugs on some louder beaty songs.
12. Stage chat was clunky in English but funny. A-Chan with audience translator tried to say that today it was too sunny in the car and the sun visor was too small. Kashiyuka asked if anyone had heard of Pret A Manger where she had coffee that morning. She then asked "Any other recommendations?" - to which someone shouted "Nandos!" Then "Costa"!

Home - Strange walking around London today for the first time in years. Covent Garden and instrument shops. Recent trips have been just in and out for gigs.
Since schooldays I used to go and seek out treasures and wonders - albums, books, and instruments. The internet killed those hunts really. I did look at instrument shops today but nothing new has happened in keyboards, guitars or effects - they still dont make a fitting case for my electric piano - and there isn't an instrument that I crave anymore.
But funny seeing the old haunts - places where magic used to be found. And and the changes... more people and traffic, MUCH more food outlets - FOOD everywhere!, everyone phone clutching now for info and music. Some places gone, some still there.
It was like visiting an old playground...with the some occasional wistful echoes here and there...
