Jazz Quartet @ Foss4g Conference, Nottingham

Rare gig with my jazz quartet at a big conference for Open Source Mapping Software nerds. 800+ people. Got gig thru brother of an old chum Dinah and he looked after us well. We were in huge marquee on a stage. Unfortunately PA had some issues - DI box was not switched right  at first - fixed in for 2nd set. Most folks were eating or in the bar so it was nicely mellow with folks who enjoyed jazz. Odd to play with a drum kit again - it;s been a year. Paul is a quiet drummer but wow they are loud things...
The main act were Festival of the Spoken Nerd - a duo of funn science lectures and demos from the guy and funny comedy science songs from the lass - she'd go down well at a filk con so i told her about filk and gave her links... http://festivalofthespokennerd.com/about/
