NOT An Album Launch, The Criterion
Jun. 24th, 2011 12:33 pmI had only 1 hour turnaround from the afternoon gig with Govannen to eat, unpack, repack for my solo gig at The Criterion. No time for printing out lyric sheets, rehearsals.
I;d decided to not have a proper album launch but to just have a nice mellow solo gig, playing some songs from the new album, but playing anything I felt like. I took the big piano keyboard to the Criterion for the first time too.
It turned out to eb a great gig - not many there at the start but it filled up with friendly faces til we had 35-40, and they were a great listening coprwd and could play ballads and rtamble on between numbers and folks listenedd and alughed - really relaxed. It helped I think being unprepared - and I was too tired to be bothered by anything. Tim the Glockenspieler joined me for a few songs near the end. Sold 8 CDs.
One of my favest song gis ever.
