Glooston Festival

Glooston Festival (or Gloostonbury a it was known before they were sadly threatened with court action from a similar sounding festival) with Govannen 4 piece went fine. I was really hayfevery tho and was a little zonked with that and the antihistamine when we were onstage. We did good and lots of people got up bop during the jigs & reels especially. We sold 1 Sniff the Pony Cds & 2 Celtic Fires. Had nice chats with chums Greg & Tonya. Didn't hang around long tho as I;d been outdoors quite enough. 

Weyfest

Had to get up at 6.45am to be ready and out for self & Dan to drive to Farnham (about 2.5hrs on a good run which we got luckily.) to play at 11.30am at Weyfest. It was about my 5th Weyfest but it was our first on the main stage. When we were setting up there was NO ONE on the field in the crowd. But as it neared 11.30am we saw familiar faces and others slowly fill the field o a comfortable quorum. We did good - we sold 8 CDs - 6 Just Be Reals & 2 CC&DB Live. We chatted to friends old and new - good weather as a contrast to tempest last year. Nice to touch base with our pals from our A New Day Record label. We left mid afternoon to come home, again getting a pretty good run.
Pretty shattered by the evening tho....

Had some studio jobs to do for France the Harper, and post some things, and bits and bobs. Did some website redesign of front page and discography.

In the arvo i got fixes notes for Episode 3 of Raising Kayn which I worked on thru the evening.

Finished my short stories book - Eric Frank Russell - Men, Martians and Machines - fun - very whimsically written. Gonna try new to me author James White - Futures Past for my short stories fix.

Finished the Mary Tyler Moore Show Season 1 - interesting documentary on the making of it and how the network suits hated the show and tried to kill it. Soon changed their minds when the awards came in. Ordered Season 2 and having watched S3 & S4 that;ll be the last.

Finished the small set of Mae West dvds I had too.

I got tickets to see Jimmy Webb & The Webb Brothers in November in Brum. Listening to him a lot - I've loved h songs for the 5th Dimension, & Richard Harris albums but never caught the boat on his own albums - skimming them on Spoify I think his time has come, especially some of his recent ones are very tasty. McArthurs Park is one of my fave songs ever.
