Cactus Cafe solo
Sep. 4th, 2008 11:50 pmSo by day - nore accounts crunching into Excel - finished te bulk of it today.
Last night I finished 3 gigs in 3 days with a solo one at the Cactus Cafe, Loughborough - I sang a lot of songs I haven;t sung for a while in the jazz/bossa/60s cabaret vein including for a change a few of mine. Starting Over, Finally(1st time on piano), Above my Head, Sunrise, & Dancing Shoes all got an airing.
Pretty tired today tho - carried on with accounts, also started putting Continuum - Yttrium on CDbaby,com and ulitmatley iTunes and send them 5 copies. Need to run off some more as I have more places I want to send copies. Slow business when you bur and print them yourself - 5 in a session usually is about all I can do. Can't justify a run really.
In evening to unwind went to the Song Club at the Donkey, caught a couple of good acts and ran into Debbie Robinson and family again plus several old chums, and reminded the place to give me a slot sometime. :-)
Need to get head round festival gig at the weekend which I fear will be soggy, and I still haven;t tinkered with my new harmonizer. Rehearsing with guitarist Dave Kirk tomorrow as he wants some flutes next week at his slot at a folk club.
