Books - a party

Bookwise - I finished Tik Tok by John Sladek - one of the most evil satires I've read - evern for Sladek. A robot whose asimov circuits have gone awry goes around killing people - and rising in wealth and power. As usual lampooning US culture, plus racism and more, it certainly takes no prisoners.

Also finished my short storybook Fritz Leibers The Secret Stories - a great collection - tiz a shame for me he has written so much sword and sorcery (not to my taste) coz I love his sci-fi.

Started Richard Wilson's The Girls from Planet 5 - in a female run world (apart from mysogenistic Texas) female aliens land. Light but fun.
My new short storybook is Ray Bradbury's The Machineries of Joy.

Went to party at Musician venue last night - Boo Hewardine was the main act. Neil the bass showed up with the Norovirus vomiting bug! I kept many yards from him... Most other people there had bugs of some kind. My cold #2 is light and justa chesty cough.

Am backing up Bridget files and freeing up hard disk space today.
