Mar. 9th, 2004 12:30 amLast night I went to Borders bookshop (got a Will Hay DVD "Oh Mr Porter" & "Convict 99" - I know I coulda got it cheaper on ebay but hell, it was there...) with K48 and we both picked up a chest of drawers for Ellie on the way back - i got us all pizza and we all slobbed whilst little Evie played around us.
When I got home I went surfing for artwork for albums and also got into surfing for schlocky girl group music - ordered a cheap CD by The Cookies as I fell for this soundclip, and also another cheap one by War, I've been promising myself.
Even fell a little for Lesley Gore (Its My Party girl)'s voice - especially "You dont own me" but i didn't buy...(yet)
I need more OTT ballads as I've run out of Little Anthony & the Imperials love that stuff for travelling especially...I wona Northern Soul compilation cheap on ebay coz it had a Teddy Randazzo song i didn't know...
Today I expected some mastering work to arrive from my pal Peter in Edinburgh but it didn't (it will tomorrow) so I just did some beaurocrasy, editing photos and stuff.
Listened to the piano album thru for the 1st time - only one minor alteration to be doen - so i did it.
Odd - on the news - main item - the whistleblower on the imigration office in Sheffield is well known to me and many in Leicester - used to run folk clubs and the folk column in the paper. Always a very controversial man....lets leave it at that.
In no time it was time to go to my gig with Andy the Sax at the Belgian bar. Having been inside all day I kinda got inot the gig despite flattish audience. Played like a tiger... Good for the soul.
