Mar. 7th, 2004 01:02 pmWell I got to the studio near Tring about 1pm and met the percussionist i was to record an album with - nice chap. He took quite a while laying his tracks down so it was about 7pm before i started recording which went on til about 3am so i stayed the night at Ll & J's which was nice as I'd needed a change of scene.
Next day we listened thru a bit and I added some more stuff. In total I added zither, tin whistles, keyboards, synthbox, harmonized flutes & vocals, electric 9string guitar and theremin.
Overall tho we only had about 30mins of music so the percussionist and me will have to do some more, perhaps remotely, another time.
Also it looks like I'll have to edit some of the music on my system, (some percussion needs tidying a little) and mix, and master - so there's plenty of work to do on this unfortunately.
The Compu-vizier has suggested some interesting new editing techniques that may help.
Listened thru some of Ll's new songs and of course stuck my oar in with suggestions.
Drove home - very tired - went to see Big Fish the new Tim Burton movie with K48 - it was a pretty film but I got a bit weepy about the father dying and funerals and stuff, plus I was tired so was a complete mess when i came out - poor K48 was quite worried about me. Crunching headache that had been with me all day eventually forced and early bedtime.
Today I feel better and it is for relaxing, reading etc - might see K48 & Ellie & Evie later.
