Had nice chat on the phone with Sib - we haven't spoken since she was in London. I heard all about Filcontinental and stuff. Cool to hear her instead of read emails. :-)
I did right to go to the Irish session - twas good for me to get out - should've done similar tonight but at the crucial time around 9.30 I had to do lots of gig calls, then it was 10 by which time inertia had set in.
Today I NEARLY got down to doing stuff - I did some research I guess, and I bought a Indi-Contacts Bible so I can have some addresses where to send my CDs. It'll come down the wire soon.
Then Carl the sitar man came round and we chatted and spun disks most of the afternoon. he was greatly amused by the Stockhausen - Samstag. - as he said "Who needs drugs when you have a Stockhausen album?" True
Oh yeah I saw a great band name today - The Kitchen Cynics :-)
Then I made the same dinner as the night before, except less of it. Chatted to Kate48 who's still low with a chest bug, poor dear.
Then I had to do a mountain of calls to sort out incoming gigs and get swaps for regular gigs I can't make for the next coupla months - I think I got it sorted. Nearly all my gigs are coming at w/e nowadays.
a bit more webby work, then a DVD I think - maybe Key Largo, maybe Lexx.
Bookwise the Robert Charles Wilson Gypsies is excellent. The Grace Slick autobiog is so lightweight it barely counts as a read. I think
highersoul warned me it was light but this really is LITE.
