Much time was spent avoiding the snow and the low temps - one day didnlt get up to -5degreesC all day.
Fri Dec 3rd - Dan Britton Band & suppport @ The Donkey
Still gosh darn cold so low turnout but ina way it suited us - we'd been a bit rusty. I did 30min support slot and sang a new song "Goodbye" getting there. Then played full set with Dan band - which is pretty much the same as my band - Neil S on bass , Neil R on cajon - nice low key gig.
Sat Dec 4th - wedding gi at Barnsdale Lodge
Had a solo piano wedding gig - real piano too so no left hand bass (eep) - enjoyed it but the old "play until the speeches in the break" including delays meant I did a 2 1/4 hour first set and was feeeling abit dizzy - luckily the halftime food revived me and did another hour. Was tires when i got home...
Sun Dec 5th - my birthday
I;d thought to doa number of things with my birthday but i realised I just wanted to chill at home. G went for long country walk and I read and pottered about and listened to some music. Prezzies included a copy of Terry Riley's In C 99(original 60s recording remastered) - used to have original on LP - and a n In C T-shirt. In evening we aimned for a sushi bar but a fire alarm closed it so we went to Wagamama instead which suited me well.
