Govannen @ wedding ceilidh - Barnsdale Hall Hotel

The Govannen wedding ceilidh was an Irish family do, and we were lucky to be joined by a guest who brought his uilleann pipes and played with us all evening. Govannen sextet with pipes! So cool!

Govannen @ The Boat, Melton Mowbray

We were due to play our annual xmas bash at The Noels Arms, but the landlord had booked a birthday party there for himself, so The Boat stepped in just down the road. Except there was a day long folk festival happening across the town including The Boat. Two chums who had slots when we were due to play kindly stepped aside (they had other slots acorss the town themselves) so thanks to them - The little pub was sooo full and humid and airless. PLUS in setting up my 25 year old workhorse keyboard took a tumble and died - :-( - so i did the whole gig on whistles, voice, and kalimba, even doing vocal bass lines, which was quite fun.
