Crosby, Stills & Nash
Sep. 18th, 2015 01:24 pmWent to see CSN at Symphony Hall in Brum - G & I were celebrating 11 years since our first date. Heavy traffic so we wolfed down a quick meal in a Wetherspoons and dashed to the gig.
CSN - nice to see the 3 of them at last. (saw CN years ago). I'm not so connected now, but for a time 20+ years ago they were my Beatles. Hearing it now, it represents an era. 60s/70s. When the world was changing and things were new. A new Crosby song tho was worth the ticket price for me. Lots of nice big chords. Croz's voice was defihnitely the stroongest - as full as ever. Stills pretty croaky, Nash OK,if a bit husky. Sound was great - not too loud. Great backing band - keys, organ, guitar, bass, drums, all who sang in the big choruses.
It was a warm hall and a quiet theatre audience and it was just a nice mellow evening.
