A quiter year gig-wise, but they came in groups so it seemed just as busy, but busier one in the studio more or less sums up 2014. Had fun celebrating my 25th year as a pro musician. It was also a year of reunions, playing with bands from 20 years ago Happy Landings and The Storm Thieves.
For me it was a time when my ambient electronic music really came of age with 3 of my favourite albums I've ever made - Memory Wire - Aura & Fingerprints, and Audible Light - Radiance.
I also got more in touch with my piano playing with 2 piano based albums in Piano Dreamer and Through Mirrors we Met, the latter being a year long project in the making with 15 female vocalists.
New Age albums were represented by Piano Dreamer and Celtic Gold (Flute Dreamer was released as a download but only becomes a CD release in 2015)
All in all a year when I looked back over my 25 years, remembered and celebrated, and created some new work I am proud of. A time of taking stock and working out how to move forward.
