Had a spell of waking early and sleeping again but weird dream sleep
Dream 1
Goodness what a dream - very involved - a hint of the magical and in the end including old Cheshire friends. It started with seeing a lass as I was coming back to my house - in the dream a small terraced house. I thought she was a neighbour and I asked her if I knew her and would she like a cup of tea. She said she didn't know me so declined. But when I waked into my house she followed. She was a strangely forthright quirky contrary lass. Then oddly other people arrived and somehow it was an informal party, some in the garden, others inside, and I was hovering around making tea etc. Most of the day went by. The lass asked me if I'd had enough. I said I think I would have to kick everyone out now. The next thing I knew I on Alderley Edge on Castle Rock with these same young people. They took a path I didn't know that led to Old John at Bradgate, Leicestershire. There was an old fashioned fair with stalls. We were in a cafe stall. The lass was now in Edwardian dress and bought a round of sodas with plastic lightening suspended in it - her favourite. Then a wild travelling show arrived with inflatable surround too large for the cafe tent but just squeezing in. It was an entertainment charity endurance kind of show involving drinking lots of beer and discomforting Jackass-like tortures like sitting on eachother - Andy Skelhorn, Daniel O Brien, Steve Lee were involved. Robin Sandoe was the huckster announcer. Across the crowd I saw Jane Duke in an immaculate beige embroidered dress coat and matching peaked cap - very 1930s. I walked up to her - I was suavely now 30s dressed - and opened my arms as if to say what a surprise. Her eyes lit up and she said "We're all together again! " and I suddenly felt very emotional and weepy. We both went over to Sharon Auerbach-Sim who was doing make-up for the show. But when we got to her found she was a hologram and there was just her gold phone. I keyed some numbers into it saying, "She's probably in LA". Sure enough she teleported in to join us. Then I woke up.

Dream 2
This one involved being at a filk convention in the states with chums from Puzzlebox Taunya, Luis, Alisa, Paul, and Beckett was there. Mostly a section of scenes.
1. The convention gave attendees box of individually wrapped liquorice allsorts. Tanya said she was avoiding candy and asked us not to eat them around her.
2. I was staying in a room above a grotty English pub.
3. We were meeting for dinner, I was hungry and on the way out took some free bar food (sign said "cocktail sausages -1 only!" I took one and left the pub - it was a raw veggie sausage, like paste, which I had trouble in getting rid of on the neat streets of this strange city. My friends wondered why I still had it when we met.
4. Much of the city was built vertically on a leafy cliff. Coffee shops were the thing here and in them the coffee machines were HUGE cylindrical things as high as the cafe, part mounted outside, and when you looked up the cliff you could see all the cafe machines like chimneys going up the levels on the cliff.
5. We were queuing in a busy coffee shop. The chef kept turning up Motown music on the player, but the owner kept turning it down. The waitress apologised for the slow service saying "but we have the big star Wally Begley here today" - an old tanned man with a toupee looking like a run down Milton Berle was fooling round behind the counter. A fallen star or a local eccentric? Folks seemed to know him. He took his leave saying "Bye everybody" - no one said anything except me who said "Bye Wally!" It was an in joke. Whoever says that to him gets slapped... And that's what I got to the delight of the regulars.
