I went to see the new big Bollywood movie and Yash Chopra's last as director as he died a month before release. I had high hopes coz the trailer looked good and it had SRK & Katrina Kaif & Anushka Sharma and AR Rahman did the music.
First half - great - fun - set in London - SRK charming and funny.
Second half - bad - heavy melodrama, totally unbelievable situations and slooow.
A shame - it was just overcooked - if it had continued like the first half it woulda been good.
Music was good tho - songs and underscore so will probably get the CD.
Dissappointing overall tho...

Hilariously dumb scene is Jab Tak Hai Jaan - SPOILER!
Bomb is found on London tube that SRK is on. He sees bomb thru open door guarded by police who tell him to stay back when he approaches it. He gets his memory back that he is a bomb disposal man for Indian army and speaks technical stuff about the bomb's manufacture. One policeman tells him to move on but the other policeman says - "No wait - he just might know what he's talking about" and they stand by and watch him defuse the bomb...
Sure let's not wait for our bomb experts, let this random foreign tourist defuse it instead...

I realised a while back that I had quite a few filk songs I've not recorded and it seemed an idea to start recording them. I'm determined not to beat myself up about production but at the same time I donlt want to bash them out.
At time of writing I've recorded 4 songs - I have made a playlist on Soundcloud so folks can hear them which will be added to.
