Was asked for a theremion recording session for a band Moving Mirrors at chum Adam's Deadline studios across town - ended up quite a session with adding theremin to 3 tracks, keyboards to 2 and kalimba on 1. Keyboards wise it was my jazzy organ that was indemand - it mustve come back in fashion as the band sounded quite 60'sish, a la Zombies/Kinks to my ears.
Fun - tho I was quite worn out by the end of it.
Had a little cold in the background - mostly nocturnal but it suddenly landed on my lungs - I just about got better enough to do a solo songs gig at The Periwig in Stamford. Hardly any there luckily so I could chill and play what i wanted.
Next day tho my lungs had flared up again.
Dan came round to record some vocals and banjo for the Govannen album - that's him done. Just a guest to add then it;'s done. I;ve started doing mixing, which is quite a good way for me with lurgy as it distracts me and keeps me still and quiet.
After recording I took a turn for the worse and got a bit fevery again...
Had to cancel Cactus Cafe jazz gig tonight as I want to be able to play the 3 gigs I have for good money at the weekend...
Just gonna hafta rest ...
