Wedding

All went smoothly for the wedding and pretty laid back it was which was what we wanted. Weather held so we could walk in to the Town Hall where the ceremony was in front of about 40 family and a few friends. Not all my family could be there - we're planning a Conway meal in the summer.

We were allowed one piece of music so we chose the theme to The Odd Couple - ( a longer jazzier version than the link). We then went to a photo room with backdrops in the Town Hall itself, then onto the front steps.

We then went on to the San Carlo restaurant a short walk away with mostly just family which was great - people changing places and moving around through the afternoon. No speeches, no formality, no fuss. The food and staff were great and it went very smoothly.

We then walked back alone while some family came back for tea and cake at home til about 9.30pm.

Sorted.

Next day we had a drop-in gathering buffet of about 80 chums at Poppadoms Indian Restaurant round the corner from our house. Some had come from London and a couple had come from Cheshire. Spent a lot of time roaming tables meeting greeting but got a few good quality chats when I was eating. Around 5pm folks filtered away.

Back home for a cup of tea with some neighbours and some chums who'd come up from Londont. We opened cards and the odd present and that was that. Further gatherings are being planned thoughout the year - family one, Cheshire gang one, etc...
