4 gigs in 3 days... eeep.
The 15th
1. Stratford-upon-Avon - a wedding jazz duo gig.
Odd to have a wedding on a Thurs night - we were to play in the bar - the party to arrive from their meal at 7.30pm - they arrived at 9pm - still we played in the intimate bar of the Shakespeare Hotel - the bride & friends even danced a little. All went fine.

2. Govannen @ Kibworth Bowling Club
We've played here before and there is often quite a crowd - mostly an older audience but very keen on the music. We had to play a little quiter and more gently to suit the room and the crowd but that was no bad thing. Lots of nice comments and CDs sold. The food was fried (chips etc) which doesn't suit me these days alas...

3. Melton Beer Festival
Held in the cattlemarket in the afternoon, we didn't have high hopes when we arrived but we sold 8 CDs and got about 5 enquiries for possible bookings for gigs and weddings. Despite being a it tired we really enoyed playing there.

4. Bourne Methodist Church
Straight on to the Bourne Methodist Church which was like a theatre gig with a stage and rows of 80 folks listening and responding. Needed more chat and stuff than usual but that was fun. Really great crowd, and again we sold 8 CDs - we even played Alien Jellyfish Song which we rarely do in Govannen - next day an Trekie audient bought Alien Salad Abduction album thru my website :-) Dinner was a ploughman's lunch, and all in all it felt good to play a posh gig - (ie not a pub gig) - for a change.

For a run of 4 gigs they all went better than we couldve hoped. Owing to my recent fitness (or wii-fitness to be exact) regime I felt loads better than I wouldv'e done afterwards as a result.
