Wedding gig at Barnsdale Hall on Friday with Andy the Sax went better than expected. The groom had requested some songs which I had to learn - at least to do them with a lyric sheet which I did and went OK - (Billy Joel - Always A Woman, Ray Charles - I Got A Woman & U2 All I Want Is You) - despite things feeling kind of loose they all ran to time and we got away on time.
Wedding gi at Barnsdale Lodge with Govannen was a ceilidh and started very late - we arrived at 7 and only started playing at 12 - which meant getting home past 1am.
Thought I;d slept well but felt the next day like I'd got none at all so zombied my way thru the day feeling scratchy and crampy until I was reminded to eat and things felt better of course once the sun had gone down.
This week I was going to be playing ina project with an Indian tabla player which as on and off again and the organisation was kinda loose so i decided not to go thru with it tho i know some chums that did and had agreat time. I had Re-Orient tracks to mix and generally didnlt feel like I could take the time. Mixed 3 out of the 8 tracks so far...
