St Patricks madness continued.

Thurs 17th - afternoon - Royal Standard
Had a gig in little Irish pub in leicester The Royal Standard - never been there before in all my years in Leicester. Old fashioned pub. Only problem was we were sat directly underneath TV with the horse racing on which several punters obviously were majorly into, so we had to take regular breaks for the races. Easy going really though.

Thurs 17th evening - The Crown, Old Dalby
T we set up in the corner of the tiny bar powered by 2 x SR Jam 150 combos (our smallest PA set-up. We were well fed beforehand which was much appreciated as we'd just come from another gig. Really nice crowd who listened and sang and laughed in all the right places. One of the nicest ones we've done there.

Fri 18th - Alpine Lodge, The Grange, Asfordby Hill
- a sell-out dinner & gig with 100 people in the Alpine Lodge themed restaurant/bar ina  garden centre. The crowd were REALLY up for it and danced like mad despite the lack of space (a couple of lasses dancing on tables) from the 2nd half. Very warm in there too as they had the fire on, so we were a bit tired after that one. Mad crowd.

Sat 19th - Vipers Rugby Club, Whetstone
 - we were slightly worried about this one as Dan & I both woke up without voices and the Vipers gig last year was probably the maddest gig of the year. This year there were fewer people and the really drunk guys had a birthday elsewhere so it was pretty easy going. Adele's daughter Maria even did a little of her Irish dancing with us.

Sunday 20th - Don Paddy's Uppingham
Always a nice vibe at Don Paddys - we used my Wharfedale Tital 12s PA for this gig as it was a good size for it and glad we did. Really nice appreciative crowd, nice to see some chums Dave (our agent) and Jay in the crowd as well as some regular punters. One lass of 80 got up and danced really well. A nice one to end up on.

We sold about 10 CDs thru the week.

Yay - we survived.

Woke Monday after all the Irish gigs with a chest infection. Slowly turned into just a cold in the week. I did some peperwork, some mixing and planning around the songs album and did some recording of Re-Orient band Indo-jazz. Ealier in the week I recorded some flute tracks for France the Harper.
Again I have been lucky getting the lurgy in an empty week gigwise.

Rewatched an old movie fave - Holiday (1938) - Cary Grant/Katherine Hepburn and the pricelss Edward Everitt Horton.Fab film - just what the doctor ordered.
