Weyfest again
Alas Dan coulldn't join me :-( I had a solo mini-set and then joined Vikki Clayton's Band - we were on the main stage (swapped as member of The Christians was late) - we went on after Adian Edmonson and before The Zombies who were grreat - really nice guys all.
overall

good - did get to play on main stage

bad - main stage was oddly smaller than old main stage...

good - it was handy for loading.

bad - solo set only 3 songs and a whitle jig - about 15-20mins

good - it went ok

bad - probably should've stated with a different song. Was a bit nervous - shoulda chosen an easier uppier song... hindsight is 20/20.

good - it got better - some nice bopping along to Alien Jellyfish Song.

bad - while I was doing solo set the slot for Vikki Clayton & my set got chopped and she couldn't let me know so Vikki set was only about 25mins

good - Vikki band set went well - and we did 2 of my songs :-)

bad - onstage sound was not good

good - we met Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone from The Zombies who said nice things about our set and my ethnic instruments

good - stayed for the Zombies excellent set,

bad - but their sound out front wasn't the best - mostly Blunstones mic was a bit tinny and low in the mix...arrggh!

good - it was a great set anyway - must catch them again indoors somewhere.

good - had a brief chat with John Otway. We used to book him at the University venue I helped on the the 80s.

bad - didn't really feel like hanging around for too many other acts. Long journey home in mind.

good - I sold 3 CDs, asked for auutographs and unexpectedly got paid!!!

good - nice to see some friendly faces in the crowd - one guy said he'd seen me play last in Germany - 10? years ago

good - home safe - but sleeepy
