Thursday
Played an early evening jazz trio gig at the Tigers rugby stadium lobby - 800 people there - we only had to play for an hour - the get-in was the hardest part. Manageress there was the manageress at the Belmont many years ago when I used to play there.

Friday
a 2 gig day - first one a curious outdoor Govannen trio ( minus Dan) gig playing at a play area naming ceremony in Aylestone Meadows - we mostly played jigs and reels - opened te event - then led folks Pied Piper style along the winding path to the play area where a ribbon was cut - we continued to play during kids games, then I called a ceilidh dance. Bioling hot sunny weather which I never enjoy playing in -  Just time to wlf down some dinner before we went to Ash Field School to play at a teachers leaving do - a ceilidh - lots of hanging around and really muggy and hot but all wen well - having felt lousy and over hot thru the gig I got 2nd wind with 30 mins to go which was handy as Dan was flagging then.
Thus ended 4 gigs in 3 days.

Saturday
My sister Clare came to visit on Saturday to have a look at the new house - she is over from Australia so I hadn't seen her for a couple of years. We had lunch and went to muzo friend Robbie Murphy's birthday gathering before dropping her off at the station. Lovel to see her. It quite took me aback as it appeared to me how much facially she now resembles my dad. Plus because of illness this xmas I hadn;t seen any family for 18months so it was nice but odd hearing family memories and expressions again. Family kind of talk.

I was really exhausted from te 4 gigs in 3 days plus it was so hot and uncomfortable it was doubly nice to do very little but sit and chat so Clare proabably saved me draging more boxes over from my house :-)

Sunday
Still very tired - did some weekend chores - then the Leicestershire Chorale were having it's annual concert/dinner at East Norton Church and Hall - Concrt was a number of old and new composers and was pleasant enough tho there was no reverb in the tiny church - weather warm but pleasant for the meal. Got home and watched The Hound of the Baskervilles (Rathbone version) on DVD. Over the last few days I have been watching Season 1 Bewitched for nostalghia reasons - fun and easy  watch.
