Dave Soden's birthday bash

Dave asked me to play some theremin on his birthday bash at Sumo, Leicester. Got there at 7.30pm to set u but was only on at about 11.30pm and then just for s olo on one song - I took my old etherwave standard and just my old Lexicon effect rack - good choice - I had a good time in my solo and it sounded good, Saw lots of old hippies I hadn't seen in literally years. Haz's partner Jane I seriously hadnlt chatted to for 5 years. Other bands on included the fab Sally Hossack & chums, excellent M48 (kids of contemporaries from Yellowbelly), the quirky Gummy Bears, and Dave's band incl his sons. I was a couldn;t really leave before the end coz I couldn;t retrieve my theremin so got home at 1am.
Only issue I had was with trying to talk to folks in a noisy room totally shreds my voice in about 15mins, I remmebered this after a bit and spoke less but neck glands go up and I feel rough in no time.
