unclechristo: (theremin - in the zone)

Finally found the time to gather my fave Quadelectronic music from 2009 on a CD and do the artwork. Whereas on 2008's Electronic Flights I tried to get a varied settings for the thertemin as possible, this time I went for pieces that shared a kind of dreamlike quality. It;s come out nice and is now out - I made it a free download. (name your price no minimum.) Get or listen to the whole album online here

A new venue for Govannen and it promised to be quite a mellow place - to be honest with GK and chums, and Dan's family that accounted for most of our audience tho they were fairly keen in the far bar and we had them up and dancing at the end of the night - we sold 3 CDs (2 Celtic Fire & 1 Sniff The Pony).
I've was feeling a bit rough on the way there - been fighting off an infectionor something but good old Dr Music - I felt fine at the end of the night. Feel OK today too - been hoping to avoid taking antibiotics.

Came home to find we have a mouse - eep! Looking at humane traps

Finally this morning I got hold of Alan Stivell's new album Emerald - rare one of my old heroes brings out a new album - Apart from download getting hold of the CD is hard (£32 import on Amazon UK) - I had to get mine from France. He seems to have gone back to his 70s sound (ie band sound, fewer computers etc) - it;s still his usual brilliant madness and "more is more" approach - nice.

Tonight I have an odd concert playing theremi at a Soviet Bloc Humour & Food Evening in a Polish Club in Nottingham. Good practise for my London theremin gig 17th  April at the South Bank.
