mastering Jackie Leven & 20th Anniv gig
Jan. 9th, 2010 01:20 amBeen feeling better and now have a longer window in the afternoon to work in. I have been mastering an album for Jackie Leven - once I found the formula of transforms it all went quite quickly. I received a copy of the album by Jackie Leven (under assumed name of Sir Vincent Lone) that has a track from one of my albums as a guest track - cool. Got 50quid for that MCPS which is cool too.
I also remixed my 20th anniversary concert recording - glad I did - sounds better now - now I have to choose tracks fro the DVD and CD. Hard. Trying to keep the DVD down to an hour which means hard choices - might have to go over. As for the CD, well anything can happen - could bring it all out virtually and put it on Bandcamp...still deciding.Took final anti-biotic today - yay - gonna have the cough for a long time tho...
Rewatched 2010 on DVD last night - enjoyed it again. Was in that kind of mood. Only just realised the irony - it is 2010 now!!!
There are relatively few Sci-fi movies that don't have action adventure (I hate action & adventure in a movie - or a book - always bores the hell out of me) - I don't even like much in the way of plot - I just like to soak up an atmosphere. Any ideas for other relatively actionless sci-fi movies I might like - take it that I know about Solaris, Stalker, 2001, 2010, The Day The Earth Stood Still, Star Trek films, Bladerunner, Contact, Space Cowboys, Dark Star - and lets discount those I don't like such as Saturn3 and Zardoz. All ideas greatfully received.
