Sunday
The ceilidh for the international business course mature students at Leicester University went pretty well, again thanks to John our caller. The students weren't so dance crazy as last year. We sold 5 CDs tho (1Bridget, & 3 Sniff the Pony's, 1 Celtic Fire).

Monday
Wrapped up the new Bridget album - makinga few last ,astering changes, then sending copies to label and Bridget - can;t remember when I started this project - autumn last year? - nice to get to the end at last. Things were held up because I had to wait tfor when Bridget could come over from Ireland. I think it's pretty good - Dan thought it better than the last - I have 3 of my songs on it - the rest traditional.
Did some online banking sorting (as predicted Abbey never got back to me :-)  ) - and ordered more Govannen Celtic Fire, and Sniff the Pony CDs and a few more Bridget Celtic Woman CDs. Had to make new master for the Sniff CD.
Tired after 4 gigs in a row - in evening watched an old fave film The Aboninable Dr Phibes - 1971 Vincent Price - very stylish campy and fun horror - I prefer the sequel Phibes Rises Again which I will watch soon - but its art deco madness is great as is the music.

This was an idea discusses at the last Quadelectronic - went to Victoria's home studio in Ibstock - and suddenly on the way hit a brick wall of tiredness of the not feeling to well variety. Once unpacked, set up, settled and lunched I turned a corner luckily.

In my sleepless night at Harmuni 4 I had a crazy idea for a piece for us - I explained it to Jim & Victoria and was surprised when they said they'd give it a go. It involved
1. us all singing an increacing number of random notes stabs every 2 minutes -  going to 5 notes at 8 mins. We actually doubled the voices up so 6 voices were doing it.
2. The next layer involved us taking a walk down the road to a churchyard with my digital recorder, bringing the recorder home and putting it thru my effects and filters.
3. Then a layer of whispering and speaking random words & phrases from books, ending in singing drones.
4. in between the vocal stabs we had a solo each, voice, theremin, virtual synth - then a section together
5. oh yes - an opening and closing section with bells & wind chimes.

Quite a bit of work for an 8 min piece but it was great to work in a totally different way. Don't know how it hangs as a piece but the process was interesting. Might need a little extra something to make it gorgeous.

Came home and realised wornoutwise - I guess with the 4 gigs and the wrapping up of Bridget album -  I'd really hit a brick wall. Started that twitching thing I get when overtired. Will knock self out tonight and chill some tomorrow.

Rediscovered a classic Breton fusion album by Kad - "18'61 with the Mevel brothers and others - excellent - will look for more by the Mevel clan.
