Bridget mixing / Cactus Cafe
Jul. 30th, 2009 10:50 amSpent much of Weds mixing the 3 new Bridget tracks - on listening to all the tracks together I realise they all need one last mix. Bridget was supposed to come to record today but postponed to Tues. We actually have JUST enough music already but she is working on a new song.
Annoyance - the headphone jack on my Focusrite Saffire LE outboard soundcard has broken - you get left OR right with wiggling but not both. I can workaround for now with my stereo's headphone out but it is annoying that kit costing 175quid is reliant on one flimsy piece of plastic or metal.
Cactus Cafe gig with Andy the Sax in the evening was more enjoyable than usual - guess I needed some jazz.
Gave up on my book Alternities by Michael Kube-McDowell - just not good enough - detailed does not mae believable and having characters wear their fatal flaws on their sleeve got a bit tiresome. Have chicked out on reading a new author and moved right along to safe hands o William Gibson and his Count Zero. I find Gibson quite addictive.
Today will alternate between website stuff, making another Planet Christo TV show, and Bridget album remixing.
