Every few years a gang of old chums of mine gather in Cheshire for a party , usually at Taff & Ali's house in Kerridge. Some of us knew eachother in school - but most we got to know eachother thru a series of annual parties and holidays after school. This is the first one I;ve managed to make for 4 years so time had flown - some of their kids were older, and generally we were looking more er.. distinguished.
It was great to touch base again with these folks including members of the 1st band I was in, and my 1st friend in the UK from aged 8. They have always been an easygoing accepting bunch and it's oddly easy connecting again wioth folks you;ve known for 30+ years.
It was monstly all talking and munching and barbeque and standing around int he kitched talking. By the end of the night I when I repaired to my B&B at 2am I was quite hoarse with talking. Got a crap night sleep as my head was buzzing so. Was gonna drop in on the party in the morning but my voice hurt so much I didnlt want to do any more talking so drove slowly home.
When I got home I finished remastering Comsic Engineers - another Rain Garden album from '95, and even finished the artwork - so it's all out bar the website work. This completes the Rain Garden remasters from digital masters of our cassette albums which I have been wanting to do for so many years. Next step is one by one - print a batch of 5 of each album and send them to CDBaby/iTunes.
I still have other cassette album remasters to do - the jazz albums and one by Leaf Storm.
