Cactus Cafe / recording / nearly CD

Very tired today - been working quite hard in studio I guess, plus gigs.
I did start a new 6min piece today and put down layers of 3 synths and 2 frame drums.

Had a good month for download slaes via CDBaby/iTunes/emusic.

Bought a few prezzies for 8 yr old tomorrow Evie.

Quiet at the Cactus Cafe jazz gig with Andy the Sax.

On the Prog Metal front - the Seventh Wonder - Mercy Falls CD came damn pronto from ebay. It's a bit frutrating - it;s a nearly CD - a few nice tracks but overall enough flaws to not take me there. 1 awesome title track but too many ballads, plus the concept weighs things down with little acted out spoken word bits that are aweful, and lead synth sounds not the best. Another big annoyance is the chord changes are similar across the album.  I'll drop th good track onto my zenpod then ebay it. Looking around some more I suspect Circus Maximus might be the only Prog Metal band I dig, rather like The Flower Kings being the only Prog band for me. Will try a  couple other bands then call it a day.
