The Door of Hope charity concert in Burton Lazars went very well - in aid of Bulgarian orphans. Govannen, Dave Kirk, and Smallbear all played and I played with them all. 2 Bulgarian workers came and it was pretty special as someone had donated a van for them which was going to be driven back to Bulgaria. Amazing how fellow EC member states can have such poor people with no schools and stuff yet the government can find 240billion pounds for failed gambling bankers... Sold 2 Sniff the Pony's and 1 Celtic Fire CDs with 50% given to the cause.

Today I had a gig and a half. The Criterion gig in the afternoon was a solo songs gig. I took the new harmonizer which reads my guitar chords and gives me CSN like hamony vocals when I switch the switch. I probably overused it coz it;s new and I need to figure the best songs to use it on but it worked really well. I also used my new greatest hits long list which was nice - did at least 1 off each album - played some for the 1st time in many years - River Blue, Nova Scotia were the 1st time out in 10 years plus, Really nice crowd that built and built and gave me big applause in the right places and a big encore. I sold 3 CDs - Songs for Dreamers, 2 x My Minds Island.
Quick turnaround then it was time for Paula's Indian Takeaway Night at the Donkey pub - proceeds to LOROS. I said I;d do some wafty flute so I took low whistle, wheeblebox, kalimba, and hamonizer and headset mic and some vocals. It all worked really well - I was just jamming but it sounded good and mellow.
Very sleepy now...
