The Bank Holiday that Wasn't
Aug. 19th, 2008 11:10 amLiving once again a week ahead of mysef and not living in the mainstream world I was convinced that it was a bank holiday yesterday. I never know quite what to do on bank holidays as folks are away, Post Offices and banks are shut etc. So I chose to do boring stuff like burning disks and lots of CD cover printing and cropping whilst listening to 2 Ozric Tentacles albums all the way thru.
I was multi-tasking - bunring disks, while printing & cutting out, while putting the newly mastered Rain Garden album up on Blastmymusic and making webpage for same.
Not sure about the artwork today but it'll do for now.
I found out it wasn't a bank holiday around 7pm. It;s al in the mind of course but I felt I should've been doing something more productive (eg recording or promotion work) if I;d known it wasn't a bank holiday.
Discovered more hassles with laptop usb soundcard - don't buy an Alesis io2 - drivers issues - not just me as I discovered googling the issue. Probably works for some folks but I;d feel guilty putting it on ebay.
Quadelectronic 3 tonight - which will be good for my head - 10 days without a gig is weird - mind you I have 5 gigs this week so it's just like the buses.
In the evening I finished watching DDVD Pat & Mike (1952 S Tracy & K Hepburn) - light and fun.
