yesterday I paid some bills, took some calls for gigs and started thinking thru future projects, even in a general way. Listened thru the last mix I made of my song The Answer with Ithamara koorax - was better than I remembered. Have to get on with jazz songs work before another album or mastering job lands on me. Looked at soem old songs that never made it - soem could be fixed with the benefit of hindsight.
Cant decide whether to doa jazz songs album, or a new acoustic songs album that is just jazzier than normal. I guess I gotta get these jazz songs recorded soemhow as I'm out singing them in bars a lot and have nothing like that to sell.
There has been a thought of a Best Of...acoustic songs CD with 2 bonus tracks being versions with me singing Islands and 10 Years (sung by Vikki Clayton on albums) - hard to pick one's own greatest hits...
Then I still need to get soprted with songs for a new set with Dan -
all in all my brain is rattling around with ideas.

went to posh shops and cafe with G in the arvo which helped unwind my mind.
Then it was gig time at Antibo's with Andy the Sax. Management requested I bring the guitar like last week... - pretty good night - tired when got home tho...

today was sleepy but gently industrious.
Gigs came in on the phone and email, chats were had about future projects. Llewellyn sent me a new CD on the label mine will be on Maya - Revalations - pleasant folky hippy songs (female vox & most;y acoustic guitars) and some interesting design issues solved for my stuff (hopefully).

Looked for a skirting board for house and in so doing missed the builder to pay him as I;d agreed - doh!.

Went to Ultima Thule to part-ex some unwanted CDs - got 8quid for my 2 rejects, and got an old album i used to have on LP - In Spe - an Estonian jazzrock group - and also a wafty album for 3quid by A Produce/M Griffin - Altara on the usually reliable Hypnos label. Nice.

Went to Dan's shop and we chatted about music and future plans.

Got veggieburger, salad & chips from Cypriot place and while listening to my new CDs reworked my liner notes for the Summoning The Spirit CD, did some webwork and also edited 16photos and added them to my Frances Drake Yahoo Group

2 more gigs came in for Nov.
