Happy Birthday K48 and Neil
Jan. 3rd, 2004 12:14 amWeird day - woke really tired.
Went in arvo to K48's for her birthday - she really wanted to go to Birmingham so we hopped on the train and did that. Unfortunately on the way there I started to feel not so good - I did my deathly pale Nosferatu look and didn;t feel good. We did walk around the new Bullring (amazing sci-fi looking shopping area - see http://www.virtualbrum.co.uk/selfridges.htm
http://www.virtualbrum.co.uk/selfridges2.htm ) - plus xmas lights were very good. Birmingham certainly has changed recently...The Selfridge Food Hall was weird - all open plan - sushi bar drifting into French pattiserie, on to a noodle bar, on to a mix-your-own-olive-oil - or cocktail stall -
Wish I was feeling more up for it. I nearly came home early but K48 decided she'd done enough.
Got home dropped K48 off and hit the hay for short nap - didn't feel great but felt I could get to Big Neil's dinner at the Lannai Thai restaurant in town - thought I couold make dinner rather than the party after.
Lots of folks there, big table, mostly all muzos, Dan Fitzy, Stef the Fiddle, Kate the Viola etc etc.. - Jolly.
Home now - woosh... feel bit better - I think I'm just very tired - early book & bed for me 2night
Oh - and I ordered the IPAQ - I couldn't stand the decision making any more - and it was a good deal - plus I worked out that tho funds were low, I am owed a lot of money - I went for an Ipaq 2210 http://www.slcentral.com/hp-ipaq-2210-pocket-pc/page3.php.
Probably wont have it set up with anything for the journey and I realise I will soon enter software and accesory hell - ah well...
why - boring nerdy reasons for my choice below cut
