Oct. 3rd, 2002 12:18 amYesterday I looked in on Ellie & Evie - both were well and bonnie.
Also dropped in on Saraji who was tired but well.
The evening I frittered away as I was tired.
Today began well with a nice quote in Time Out magazine for the launch tomorrow. Nice and quotable. For me and Jude.
Also got an order for both CDs from dear Cricket in California, bless her.
And got a cheque for a CD I sold on ebay.
I also got a Brian Wilson CD - I Just Wasn't Made For These Times - not a classic but nice to hear some new versions of old faves - esp Warmth of the Sun and I always love Love & Mercy which I sing myself now and again.
Did some accounting, then came over very tired and needed a nap.
Then the gig tonight at the Mexican Rest. in Loughborough. Got into it tonight - enjoying crooning lately - esp. A Change Has Got To Come - Sam Cooke, Little Anthony - Make it Easy on Yourself (not the well known song of that name - this one's by Teddy Randazzo), and I Only Have Eyes for You.
Some very dolled up girls surprised sax player Andy and me by coming up to us and saying how much they enjoyed it.
Better hot the hay as I haven't thought a jot about tomorrow and I leave at 10am
Don't know whether to stay I London awhile - part of me realy wants to rusg straight back to Leicester after the gig. I'll play it by ear and pack toothbrush and drugs so I can stay if I want.
