Clive James
a day for gathering resources, getting haircut, emailing collaborators, etc...
And in the evening went to see Claive James at Warwick Arts Centre - funny man - I kind of expected a kind of narrative or theme or life story, but he mostly seemed to talk off the cuff with a few set piece anecdotes, but mostly seemingly as stuff came to him - Marks & Sparks clothes, Obama & Bush etc. Very easy to listen to tho and a funy man.
The CD shop at Warwick Arts is small but very wellstocked and I usually come away with some cheap good albums - got a Pharaoh Sanders compilation, Bebel Gilberto's latest at £3, and a cheap thin packaged Colin Walcott ECM album I used to own on LP Cloud Dance. Remember LPs?
