Took a while sorting out my travel arrangements for my trip tohio in May for Marcon
Always takes me ages juggling times and fares and double checking dates and stuff. Plus there was a good amount of paperwork to do with the con - like choosng which 4 panels to sit on out of 100 or so. Having got all the paperwork together, I failed in the last moment as I got muddled on way to post office and posted it with no stamp while queueing for stamps wit the stamped letter I had. So I did it all again virtually.

Gigged in evening at Cactus Cafe with Andy the Sax - not many there coz of the weater but I always like that there coz it means you can play some arty jazz.

Recorded another piece for Moonchants today - 6 down 11 to go... Last 2 tracks have had the zither out again.

Enjoyed the Crosby/Nash 1971 and the Richie Havens 1974 gigs on BBC4 t'other day - the Havens is available to UK folks on the iPlayer for a few days.

Got some interesting new sounds - Got Bo Lind's 3rd album Since There Were Circles - he doesn;t have a great voice but I enjoy his dramtic lyrics and big major 7th chords. Ultima Thule Alan made me a couple of bootlegs - a Terje Rypdal What Comes After band from 1974 - rough but real live recording. Also got a recording I'd heard for years - Terry Riley with Don Cherry from a German Radio session. Not great all the way - one goodish organ jam - unfortunately Terry plays sax on the other 2 tracks which makes for a thin listen with no chord instrument. Curiosity satisfied at least.

Keep getting gigs come in for the same date. Got  a nice electronic showcase thing today which clashes with a tbc Irish gig for the Mayor of Melton Mowbray. Hope the Mayor gig doesn't come thru.

Not sorted at all for the Filk Con - will pack tomorrow - hope folks get ther OK what with the snow.
