My Scottish Early Music CD came 2day - Crossing the Helicon by the Baltimore Consort - nice but of course like some ebay wins - by the time it arrived I am no longer in my medieval head. Some nice stuff on it tho.

Did some website work, got call from K48 who is back from her holiday in Lanzarote, went to the bank, then visited Ellie & Evie as Evie is poorly. I gave her the Miss Piggy doll that Saraji sent me. Poor dear, she was not a well bunny - she looked into the wrapping and all she could do was give a weak smile. Heavy chesty cough and throwing up a lot. They'd had a bad night so I took Ellie some Indian sag paneer, dal & rice from the local shop.

Came home and it was time to get ready for my gig with Bluesguitarman Geoff Overon at the Belgian themed restaurant. Still getting used to my new amp... I wasn't feeling very inspired and a big table kinda shifted the mellow ambiance of the place. We went on to the acoustic club late on - caught up with a few regulars.

today I did a little looking into online radio, then I got down to some recording for the drum project - 6 overdubbed tracks of marimba sample - I finished - looked at my watch - 5pm - day eaten by programming & recording ...doh!

Rang E & E - Evie is better today - apparently the big hit I took over yesterday wasn't the Miss Piggy doll but the can of Sprite. I saw she'd been eyeing it up when I was there yesterday and I asked her if she wanted some and she weakly nodded yes - "with a straw!" Apparently she's been drinking out of it all day (Ellie's has been topping it up with all kinds of drinks and it most greatful as it's got her taking in fluids & sugar ) - oh for a time when it was soooo much fun drinking out of a can, and with a straw!

Did a food shop, & cooked a rather hefty rice noodle & veg & quorn Chinesey soup.

Half fancy going to the Irish session but
1. I've had enough Irish music lately
2. Gigged last night and tomorrow - need a nerdy night in
3. need to record more stuff too...

I was amused to be told by Big Nick that he'd seen some of my music at Marks & Spencers - sure enough some tracks from my Ayurveda CD have been put on compilations sold at M&S.
if the links below don't work - go here - http://www.marksandspencer.com/Search/MNSSearchESP.process search for "CD" - the CDs are displayed on that page "Into Tranquility", & "Bathtime Bliss"

3 tracks on this

(First naked woman on an album cover - shock - horror!)

tho apparently someone pointed out that on my Flying Home CD - if you turn the cover upsidedown my face turns into a naked woman (clue my nose is her elbow, my beard is her hair - she is facing away from the window) - needless to say the person that pointed this out is - lets say - receiving help...

Anyway - these compilations sell well apparently - nice to be opening track on both too. usually on compilations I'm on track 7...
